Terrorist Attack and the Changes in Air-port Security

The terrorist disorders of Sept. 2010 11, 2001, have forever changed the security measures taken at all airport/ airlines around America. The tragedy that unfolded within this day, called for improvement of our airport secureness. Following the Sept. 2010 11th terrorist attacks, new policies, methods, management, and tightened airport/airline security had been put into place.

Before the September eleventh attacks, airports/ airlines in the United States were functioning on private security systems. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), airport and airlines shared the burden, of providing security for air travel. Commercial Airports should have provided sufficient police force, constrained access to secure areas, along with keeping all of the international airport perimeters safe and sound. Paul Seidenstat states " Some airport authorities developed with private security firms, whereas other folks operated their particular security or perhaps used standard police forces” (275). The Commercial airlines were responsible for screening process all aircraft, baggage, travelers and freight that would be boarding for travel. This includes traveling and all things going through an x- ray machine called a magnometer. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was accountable for all international airport security actions and rules. They were not really up to par in requiring new screening products for the airports. The weakness in the security that was applied at the time, People in the usa suffered the most horrific acts of terrorism on American soil.

The morning of September 11th will permanently be remembered. The loss of American lives was catastrophic. Several four synchronised terrorist attacks were leashed upon the American people by the Islamic terrorist group al-Queda. That were there found the weakness within our airport secureness. Four passenger airliners were hijacked and flown into buildings in suicide disorders. American Air carriers Flight 11 and Combined Airlines Flight 175 were flown in the South systems of the World Transact Center, in New York City. Another plane, American Airlines Flight 77, was crashed in the Pentagon. The very last plane hijacked was United Airlines Flight 93; it had been targeted at Buenos aires D. C., but crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The passengers of that flight attempted to overtake the hijackers and caused the plane to not produce its meant target. The destruction worldwide Trade Middle known as the Double Towers and also other properties induced serious problems for the economy and had a significant effect on global markets.

That is to blame for the faulty reliability measures which were put into place at the time of 9/11? Well there are many problems one could say it was the possible lack of attention given by the FAA. The airport terminal and airlines security was underfunded: Which usually according to Paul Seidenstat " The weakness with the security system involving the three companions, the FAA, the airlines, and the air-ports, made for circumstances that would have made it difficult to stop the hijackings of September 11th” (277). Seidenstat emphasizes that the weakly designed and mismanaged security system, lack of communication, and unclear regulations played a task in creating a faulty air flow transportation home security alarm.

The three partners, the FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION, the airlines, and the airports are revising terminal projects as secureness is top priority. This comes at some expense to the American people. All of the changes included a new
